SnR UGRR Tour 2011 ~ July 1 Ride Day 16

Madison, KY to Burlington, KY

Yesterday was a very challenging day. I worked from two separate libraries; Hanover Public Library and Madison Public Library. Both were great locations with excellent wifi, but cold. A/C blowing hard.

We camped out in the park that has the humongous hill that the Youth Cyclists had to climb on their 78th mile. As usual, they approached it like any other problem they will come to face in life, on revolution at a time. We awoke to a beautiful morning with family all around us. As it was my son, Mahlique's, birthday his Yai (grandmother) and his Tuat (great grandmother) were meeting us. Aunt Jen and Uncle Brad, Sierra, Savannah, and Dillon (who was attending football camp at Hanover College) were all present. They brought with them my daughters, Maysa and Sunisa and son, Micco. Just about everyone was there. I even talked to Abeo, Diallo and Zuri by phone. We talked to Naya the day before.

The night of the 29th we were hosted by the YMCA of Corydon, In and we took advantage of all the amenities available and camped out under the new pavilion on their soccer fields. Leaving their after breakfast led us to the next campsite Madison, In, Clifty Falls, where the Youth Cyclists climbed the 2mile hill.

Now we're leaving Clifty Falls heading to Burlington, KY to be accommodated by the YMCA.

I wasn't riding this day due to a couple of conference calls I have to attend. I'm sure they'll do just fine without me slowing them down. hehe.
