Help the Spoke 'n Revolutions Youth Cycling To Continue Providing Cycling Adventures

This summer, Spoke 'n Revolutions Youth Cycling took a group of 9 high school students on an 1800 mile ride along the Underground Railroad Trail. They journey from Mobile, Ala., to Buffalo, New York following the route that many enslaved people used to escape to freedom. The students who completed this ride were deeply affected by the things they saw and learned during their trek.

For more information on the Underground Railroad Trail, see the description on the Adventure Cycling Association page.

This group of students, who began their Spoke 'n Revolutions training as Sophomores, built their own bikes through working with The ReCYCLEry, learning good mechanic skills was only the first step along the successful path to confident riding. The students have been training for over a year to prepare for this ride of a lifetime.

By donating to the Spoke ʻn Revolutions Youth Cycling Team you will help continue this program of affecting youth in a positive way and becoming Youth Cyclists. Every donation goes towards giving the Youth Cyclists in our program an experience they will never forget -- one that will empower them, engage them, and lead them to a healthy and powerfully fulfilling lifestyle. Their accomplishments, made by sheer force of will, are life changing in a positive way!n
Spoke ʻN Revolutions and The ReCYCLEry perceive cycling not only as a potential solution to many of the problems faced by our slice of North Carolina, but as part of a bigger strategy to reduce the environmental footprint of our society. All of our refurbished bikes are built from Triangle area donations. Saving useful bikes from entering the waste-stream is an important part of what we do.
